The Graphic Designer position is a full-time position, not a contract job.

 

Position Summary

The Graphic Designer is responsible for conceptualizing and implementing design solutions that meet marketing strategies from concept to completion. This position requires specialized knowledge of methods and techniques of graphic design and layout as well as client interaction and communication skills. The Graphic Designer must be capable of executing projects with supervision from the Graphics Design Manager and must demonstrate a high level of proficiency in design, web, and multimedia software and applications, such as Adobe Creative Cloud Suite.

 

Responsibilities

 

  • Design and produce, as an individual and part of a team, quality, contemporary graphics that effectively communicate the LOMA brand both in digital and print
  •  
  • Work closely with internal clients to ensure that the "look and feel" for each project is contemporary and effectively engages member company employees
    • Serve as the communication link between members of the development and production teams during the production process to ensure that the final output is high quality, accurate, and consistent

     

    Create and recommend design features that exhibit creativity, producing engaging and energizing deliverables
  •  
  • Create cover designs, graphic layouts, type design and production of Resource magazine, SRI Magazine, or MarketFacts (both print and digital formats) and upload materials for printer.
  •  
  • Design, layout, format and assembling for production of promotional materials, products, reports and POP displays (for conferences, forums, and special events)

            A thorough knowledge of print production, and pre-press production; ensure materials are produced according to technical and brand standards in common use among printers and vendors and             by team members at LIMRA in Connecticut


            Adhere to and meet project production schedules.

            Work with supervision from Graphics Design Manager, planning and managing work schedule, so that all job tasks are completed in an accurate, efficient, and timely manner

            Design and production of Textbook and eBook materials

 

 

Requirements
 

      • LOMA uses only IBM-compatible PCs. Qualified candidates will have experience in using Adobe Creative Cloud products such as Adobe Indesign CC, Adobe Illustrator CC, Photoshop CC, Adobe Live Cycle, Adobe Acrobat DC. Experience with Go Animate, and Kotobee Authoring software are a plus. Must be knowledgeable in Microsoft Office Products, such as Outlook, Word and PowerPoint.

         

      • Bachelors of Fine Arts degree in Graphic Design preferred with a minimum 3-5 years in a graphics position

 

      • Able to work in a team-oriented, collaborative environment

 

      • Exceptional organization and time management skills

         

        Minimum Qualifications:

         

      • Minimum 3 years of design experience with traditional print-based deliverables, including the design of manuscript copy and creating accompanying figures, charts, and graphs in the development of textbooks, manuals, catalogs, magazines and newsletters.
         

      • Minimum 3 years print production experience with the ability to follow precise layouts and templates.
         

      • At least 3 years of graphic design experience in both a traditional print and Web-based delivery environment.

      • HTML and CSS experience a plus
