Description

The insurance and financial services industry is rapidly moving to a digital-first approach to business, yet is hampered by decades-old manual, paper-first processes. While industry players try to modernize their businesses and achieve growth, they are also bombarded with an unending list of new technologies that they “must” implement.

LIMRA’s Technology Research team conducts research from a variety perspectives. First, we help member companies assess their progress against the broader industry on a wide range of technology topics, including front-end and back-end systems. Second, we survey consumers and financial professionals to understand their attitudes and preferences in using technology, particularly when it involves product purchase. Finally, we aim to provide insight to help companies navigate the sea of emerging technologies.

We are currently taking applications for a Senior Research Analyst, Technology based in our Windsor, CT office.  This position conducts research studies on a variety of technology topics, primarily in the U.S. and Canada, with occasional collaborations internationally or with other research units.

What else do you need to have?

  • An advanced degree (Masters or Doctorate), or 8 to 10 years of relevant industry experience
  • Knowledge of the financial services industry
  • Ability to write reports and articles
  • Oral communication skills to present results of research
  • Knowledge of standard statistical analysis techniques
  • Knowledge of qualitative and quantitative research methodologies
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office tools (Word, PowerPoint, Excel)
  • Proficient in one or more data analysis applications (such as SAS, SPSS)
  • Demonstrated ability to prioritize own work and multi-task.
  • Demonstrated excellent organizational skills.
  • Demonstrated ability to take initiative and ownership of projects.
  • Demonstrated experience working independently and as part of a team.
