Our Convening team is seeking to hire a Committee Director.

The Big Picture:

We are seeking a successful and highly motivated Committee Director to drive LIMRA/LOMA’s message, theme and strategy for our portfolio of Member Collaboration groups (committees, study groups) to increase member value and engagement, reinforce our integrated manufacturing to consumption model, and accelerate ideation and development of new and enhanced solutions for our brands.

What will you be doing?

  • Are you someone who enjoys collaborating closely with internal and external partners to strategize and manage the cultivation, recruitment, documentation roadmap, facilitation, engagement and convening function liaising with internal research resource verticals and product development areas?
  • Do you find joy in completing the following activities:
    • Ensuring quality control, capture, and distribution of meeting notes and other group output?
    • Developing group meeting schedules and agendas in collaboration with key stakeholders building alignment with product roadmaps, outreach/messaging, business priorities and executive strategy/vision?
    • Creating quarterly executive reporting?
    • Project managing the association members roadmap?

What do you need to succeed in this job?

  • BA/BS degree or equivalent practical experience
  • 5+ years of financial service industry knowledge/experience
  • Strong professional facilitation skills: The IAF Certified Professional Facilitator (CPF) or Certified Estate Planner (CEP) is a plus.
  • Exceptional project management skills and experience, including managing multiple internal stakeholders; Agile experience a plus.
  • Ability to multitask and take the lead on several groups simultaneously.
  • Experience gaining the trust and support from senior stakeholders.
  • Independent, initiative-taker who can prioritize and drive deliverables to execution with minimal supervision.
  • Ability to work well under pressure, with tight deadlines.
  • Skilled negotiator with proven experience finding creative ways to do more with less, and a record of staying on budget.
  • Experience working in a fast-paced and highly cross-functional global organization.
  • Previous experience with an Association is a plus.
  • Travel:  50% +
