The Opportunity:

We are searching for a strategic senior-level marketing leader to oversee the Lifetime Income Initiative. Our success depends on leadership that can challenge the norm and offer fresh perspectives. The responsibilities of this role will focus on the Lifetime Income Initiative as part of US member benefits. This position will report to the Chief Marketing Officer.

The Lifetime Income Initiative Leader is a highly collaborative, business-savvy marketing professional who has solid experience leading teams and in building product value propositions. You will be responsible for developing and executing a clearly defined strategy in a manner that drives member value and association growth.

This role will lead cross-functional teams leveraging relationships, influence, and shared accountability to execute initiatives and accelerate business outcomes.

What You’ll Do:

Product Management

• Demonstrate accountability for business planning and execution of key priorities and objectives for the Lifetime Income Initiative.
• Ensure the Lifetime Income Initiative meets the financial objectives of the organization and are delivered to our membership in a profitable and sustainable way.
• Lead engagement across the organization, and external partners, to understand the drivers of engagement, membership feedback and operational/experience needs
• Lead cross-functional teams to ensure planning and execution of strategic initiatives and campaigns.
• Monitor and optimize the effectiveness of strategic initiatives
• Identify and assess new business opportunities and partnerships that relate to the mission and objectives

Member Engagement

• Design and execute member engagement programs that increase participation and value creation through sponsorship packages and turnkey marketing toolkits for member amplification
• Partner with Research to publish research and create awareness with members and the industry via media relations partners
• Serve as the business owner for member convening strategies and experiences, including industry conferences, executive forums, and thought leadership events
• Partner with Member Relations & Sales to ensure program value recognition
• Support the Lifetime Income Initiative Advisory Board including engagement and meetings that inform strategy, content, and outreach efforts.

Financial Professional Marketing

• Oversee nationwide roadshow programs with key distribution partners, aligning marketing and partner objectives to drive awareness and expand the market
• Lead partner marketing initiatives with service providers and strategic alliances to drive joint go-to-market programs that achieve marketing objectives.
• Direct advisor-facing marketing initiatives across paid, owned, and partner channels, utilizing sales enablement resources, marketing technology, advertising, and content strategies to increase awareness, consideration, and product recommendations
• Develop and execute consumable content strategies that transform research-based insights into advisor-facing podcasts, video series, digital content, and sales enablement resources to drive engagement and behavioral change among financial professionals.
• Serve as the business owner for financial professional convening strategies and experiences

Consumer Marketing

• Lead the consumer engagement strategy leveraging research-based insights, retirement education fellows, strategic partnerships, and influencer marketing to increase awareness of the role lifetime income can play in improving retirement security.
• Direct integrated marketing campaigns across digital, social, content, media, and experiential channels, translating retirement income research into compelling consumer narratives that drive engagement, education, and behavioral change.
• Build and activate financial influencers to amplify awareness, credibility, and adoption of lifetime income concepts

What You Bring:

• Bachelor’s degree in marketing, communications, or related field, MBA preferred
• 15+ years in marketing management or marketing roles
  • Leading digital marketing, influencers, social media, PR
  • Managing partner relationships
  • Managing a marketing budget
• A minimum of 10 years of management experience, strongly preferred. Planning and managing experience at both strategic and operational levels.
• Proven success leading and mentoring team members across multiple campuses
• Ability to communicate strongly with team members and senior management.
• Thorough knowledge of marketing principles and brand management.
• Experience deploying or improving an organization’s digital strategy.
• Industry experience in Financial Services is preferred.

• Proven success achieving results through collaborative planning with cross-functional partners, including sales, research, product, and IT, to drive revenue growth.
• Analyzing statistical data to measure, inform decisions, and improve the performance of marketing activities such as market segmentation, customer behavior and data driven marketing.
• Bias for Action, results oriented, drives accountability. Ability to pivot between strategic vision and tactical focus
• Strong knowledge of and experience using full range of digital marketing tools, including social media, Content marketing and CMS. Ability to apply marketing techniques over multiple digital channels.
• Excellent communication, interpersonal, presentation, management and negotiating skills to maintain effective relationships with senior leadership, the board of directors, management, staff, and outside business partners.
• Effective communicator who fosters an open dialogue, promotes frank discussions of tough issues as appropriate, keeps others well informed, and listens carefully to input and feedback.
• Strong leadership skills with success developing and growing individuals and teams; including interviewing, hiring, training, appraising, and providing feedback and addressing performance issues.
