LIMRA LOMA is currently looking to fill the position of Member Solutions Director – Commercial Research & Products.

The Member Solutions Director (MSD) has responsibility for driving engagement in LIMRA LOMA Commercial Research Products and Solutions. The MSD provides opportunities to participate in individual and customized research, research studies and surveys to assist members with their sales and growth goals. This is done through collaboration with team members within their assigned account team.

Their work is focused on engaging with members to understand specific objectives and challenges, demonstrating how our solutions add value, may solve an existing problem and/or provide critical insight to drive member success.

They are accountable for achieving member adoption and revenue growth goals in collaboration with their Member Relations Team partner.

Job Functions:
  • Member facing sales subject matter expert within LIMRA LOMA commercial research product subset
  • Actively participate in strategic account planning as part of an integrated sales team.
  • Monitor data and trends to identify ways in which to work more closely and provide additional value to members
  • Maintain knowledge of industry trends and topics through attendance at internal and external meetings, attending committee and study group meeting, reading of trade press, etc.
  • When connecting with members, listen attentively to members needs to identify opportunities for cross-selling and facilitate process to close new business
  • Communicate customer input, suggestions and comments to other sales, marketing and production teams as necessary
  • Identify and maintain key contact information for managed accounts
  • Create and deliver sales presentations
  • Uncover member needs through effective probing and questioning
  • Build proposals and SOWs to reflect business requirements
  • Track and monitor all activity through Salesforce
Required Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in business or related field
  • 7+ years’ experience in business to business sales role
  • Previous experience in the selling of research and related services
  • Exceptional presentation skills
  • Ability to travel to member companies (25%)
  • Results driven with a bias for action/execution
  • Excellent communication skills, with the ability to negotiate and reach resolution
  • Proven success working both in a team as well as in an individual capacity
  • Keen ability to listen and comprehend member needs
  • Customer service minded with a solution driven mindset
  • Innovative in their approach to addressing customer needs.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Background, experience and success in consultative selling
  • Knowledge and ability to present research abstracts
  • Experience writing research abstracts
