We are seeking a collaborative, strategic thinker with a strong proficiency in member-centric, data-driven marketing to help engage new target markets—advisors and consumers—by driving awareness, demand, and adoption of industry solutions. This role is ideal for someone who challenges the status quo, brings fresh perspectives, and is passionate about delivering meaningful value to audiences who need what LlMRA and LOMA have to offer.

This position will support the integration of the Alliance for Lifetime Income into LIMRA and LOMA’s business and contribute to the development of a marketing strategy that serves defined markets, enhances member value, and fuels association growth.

 

Summary of Position:

This position will report to the newly appointed Head of Advisor & Consumer Strategy as part of a dynamic team. The Advisor & Consumer Senior Marketing Specialist role is responsible for developing member segmentation, journey maps and personalized experiences. This role requires strategic thinking, innovation, marketing technology skills, creativity, collaboration, organizational skills, and a passion for data and insights.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Develop strategic, measurable marketing initiatives and campaigns based upon business goals and objectives, segmentation goals, corporate marketing priorities, market trends and specific account targets.
  • Design a segmentation strategy that creates specialized experiences to drive engagement, consumption and growth including account-based marketing
  • Develop a deep relationship and establish credibility with member relations & sales teams to understand and help deliver on segment priorities and goals
  • Partner with the inbound/digital channels, events, email, webinar, and web teams to ensure alignment with overall business strategy and drive peak performance across all programs
  • Establish metrics and scorecards to track and to optimize program effectiveness, lead performance, and pipeline generation
  • Enable sales with audience insights, campaign strategy, and collateral to effectively support the go-to-market strategy
  • Manage the segment marketing budget and associated operational activities
  • Serve as the marketing liaison with segmentation leaders and field sales in evaluating needs and obtaining insights to optimize the marketing plan.
  • Proactively analyze trends in the addressable market; share relevant insights, apply learnings and data insights to evolve the marketing plan as needed

 

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Bachelor’s degree required; marketing or business degree preferred
  • 8+years of work experience, preferably in a business-to-business environment
  • Live within a commutable distance to Atlanta, GA or Windsor, CT office preferred; remote option is available  
  • Demonstrated analytical skills and experience analyzing and reporting out on campaign performance data, and applying data insights to the marketing strategy
  • Proven experience working with sales teams and supporting programs to drive awareness and sales
  • Nimble and quick to react to changing market and organizational requirements; prepared to swiftly, yet pragmatically, pivot our marketing strategy where needed
  • Consistently drives results on time and within budget
  • Vast experience with campaign planning, execution and robust project management skills
  • Ability to oversee multiple marketing programs simultaneously
  • Fluency with Microsoft Office — PowerPoint, Word, Excel
  • Experience with creating and leveraging B2B and B2C segmentation
  • Excellent communication (both written and verbal)
  • Proficiency in messaging strategy and story telling
  • Must be a self-starter, highly organized, and able to effectively work independently as well as part of a team
  • Extremely detail oriented with teamwork skills and the ability to work across functional teams and all levels of the organization
  • Flexibility and ability to learn fast and respond to frequently changing business needs
  • Must enjoy working in a high-pressure environment with daily deadlines and ongoing time demands
  • Open and responsive to constructive feedback

 

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Knowledge of insurance/financial services
  • Experience with Salesforce and CRM platforms
  • Experience with reporting and data analysis using Excel and Tableau
